The Rainbow™ proofing system allows for slight modification of supplied color targets via adjustment of tonal curves which effectively changes dot gain.

In this procedure, the user will:

• Select the color target to which they wish to make adjustments and open the Color Target Adjustment dialog box from the File Menu.
  
• Enter the values in the dot percentage fields they wish to adjust (6% - 100%) for each color (CMYK).
  
• Enter the amount of density compensation, if desired.
  
• Save the changes. This will adjust the actual color target selected in General Preferences for all proofs.

Use this tool to:

• Simulate other than conventional Matchprint™ conditions.
  Use If you...
  - Do not wish to use supplied color targets
  - Wish to create custom targets
  
  
• Create a different look to Matchprint™ conditions.
  - Modify the look of a supplied target
